Question Do you think a community like Gattaca is good or bad? Why?
In the movie "Gattaca" its about how people are vaild by there genotype. In there community its all about being perfect or close to it. Why does it have to be bast on your genotype, we should have a fair chances out there in the world to not be judge by color or your genotype. You can't control that, its natural. I think Gattaca community is not fair and very bad.

Question Should we be able to know our genomes?
Question Should we be able to know our genomes? Well, genomes are "he haploid set of chromosomes in a gamete or microorganism, or in each cell of a multicellular organism.
the complete set of genes or genetic material present in a cell or organism." according to Google's definition.
I think that people should know there genomes because you should know what is in your body or not. Its like asking if I should know my blood type. You should know this things about yourself. People might say well it doesn't matter, who cares. Well its up to you if you want to find that out, but doctors should tell you if you ask.

Write an explanation of dominant and recessive alelles appropriate for a jr high class
Dominant and Recessive Alleles. In a heterozygous individual, the effect of one allele for a gene may "covered up" the effect of the other allele, The "covered up" allele does not show up in the individual's phenotype. An allele that "covers up" another allele this way is the dominant allele of that allele pair. The allele that is "hidden" is the recessive allele. The phrase "dominant and recessive genes" is often used to mean "dominant and recessive alleles". - from website genics def.
If animals were capable of regeneration like a planarian, how do you think it would affect the ecosystem?
If animals can regenorate, then it would make a big different to the eco sysytem. The animals can survive alot long. If a zebra gets his/her leg off then it can grow back slowly then die. It will help save the animals from extinction. But at the same time it would less their resource and live in some kind of hard work trying to get food, water, ect.
